The Challenge
A client brought in a vintage Longines dress watch from the 1970s that had been sitting in a drawer for over a decade. The movement was seized, the crystal cracked, and the crown stem had corroded. The owner wanted it running again as a daily wear piece.
Our Approach
We performed a complete movement service, sourced a new-old-stock crystal compatible with the case reference, and fabricated a replacement crown stem to the original specifications. The movement was ultrasonically cleaned, relubricated, and regulated across five positions over seven days.
The Outcome
The watch was returned running at +4 seconds per day with a healthy amplitude of 270 degrees. The client has been wearing it daily for four months and reports consistent performance. The service documentation now serves as part of the watch's provenance.

The Challenge
A collector from Bangkok shipped a Zenith El Primero chronograph that was exhibiting intermittent chronograph hand reset failures. The pushers felt gritty and the power reserve had dropped significantly. Previous service attempts elsewhere had not resolved the issue.
Our Approach
Our diagnostic consultation identified a worn heart-piece cam as the root cause of the reset failure. The full complication service included fabrication of a replacement cam, complete movement overhaul, new pusher gaskets, and extended timing observation across eight days post-service.
The Outcome
All chronograph functions restored to proper operation. The watch now resets cleanly every time and the power reserve returned to its expected range. The collector received a comprehensive service portfolio with macro photographs documenting each stage of the work.
