Core Advantages

What You Gain by Working With Us

Trained Professionals

Our watchmakers hold formal horological training and have accumulated years of hands-on experience with a broad spectrum of calibers, from affordable quartz to haute horlogerie.

Thorough Diagnostics

Before any work begins, every watch undergoes a comprehensive assessment. We identify existing issues and potential future concerns, then communicate our findings clearly.

Proper Equipment

Our workshop is outfitted with professional-grade tools including ultrasonic cleaners, timegraphers, pressure testers, and caliber-specific instruments suited to the watches we service.

Honest Communication

You will never receive a recommendation for unnecessary work. Our consultative approach means we explain what is needed, what is optional, and what can safely wait.

Full Documentation

Every service concludes with a written record detailing all procedures, parts used, timing results, and observations. This creates a valuable history for your timepiece over time.

Accessible Workshop

Located centrally in District 1, our workshop is easy to visit for drop-off, pickup, or in-person consultation. No appointments needed for initial discussions.

Professional Expertise

Watch repair is a discipline where experience compounds. A watchmaker who has serviced hundreds of ETA 2824 movements recognizes subtle signs of wear that a less experienced hand might overlook. Our team has accumulated that depth of experience across a wide range of movement families — Japanese, Swiss, and others. We invest in ongoing education and stay current with manufacturer service guidelines, particularly as movement architectures evolve. When a caliber arrives at our bench, we approach it with the specific knowledge that caliber demands, not a one-size-fits-all method.

Technology and Precision Tools

Good intentions are not enough without proper tooling. Our workshop uses a Witschi timegrapher for multi-position timing analysis, Elma ultrasonic cleaning systems for movement parts, and Bergeon hand tools for disassembly and assembly. For water-resistant watches, we employ a Bergeon pressure tester to verify gasket integrity after service. These instruments allow us to measure and verify our work to professional standards, rather than relying solely on feel and intuition. The result is a more reliable outcome for your watch and a more confident return for you.

Client-Centered Service

We understand that leaving your watch with someone requires trust. That is why we take the time to explain our findings, discuss options before proceeding, and provide updates at key stages. If unexpected issues arise during service, we contact you before doing any additional work. Our aim is for you to feel informed and comfortable throughout the process — not anxious about what is happening behind a closed door. You can visit or call at any time during business hours to ask about your watch's progress.

Fair and Transparent Pricing

Our service pricing is published on our Solutions page and reflects the standard scope of each tier. We do not pad invoices with vague line items or charge for work not agreed upon. If additional parts or labor are needed beyond the original scope, we present a clear explanation and revised cost before proceeding. This approach may seem straightforward, but it is surprisingly uncommon in the repair trade. We believe that trust is built through transparency, and pricing is one of the most direct places to demonstrate it.

Measurable Outcomes

Watch servicing should produce measurable improvements, and we document those measurements for you. After service, each mechanical watch is tested on a timegrapher and the results — rate deviation, amplitude, and beat error — are included in your service notes. For quartz watches, functional checks confirm reliable circuit operation and battery voltage. This data-driven approach means that the quality of our work is not a matter of opinion; it is a matter of record. Over successive services, these records also help identify long-term trends in your watch's performance.

How We Compare

A Different Kind of Workshop

Here is how our approach differs from what you might encounter at a typical service counter.

Aspect Typical Service Counters Tourbillon Nook
Initial Assessment Brief visual inspection, often without opening the case Full diagnostic with case opening, movement evaluation, and written findings
Communication Limited updates; you learn details only upon collection Progress updates at key stages; contact before any scope changes
Pricing Often vague or adjusted after the fact Published rates with clear scope; additional costs discussed in advance
Documentation Receipt with minimal detail Comprehensive service sheet with timing data and procedure log
Workshop Environment Open counter in retail setting Climate-controlled, dedicated horological workspace
Parts Sourcing Generic replacements common Original or OEM-equivalent parts; alternatives discussed transparently

What Makes Us Different

Distinctive Features of Our Practice

Photographic Service Records

For complication-level services, we include macro photographs of key stages in your service portfolio. This visual documentation provides a unique window into the work performed on your timepiece and serves as a valuable record for future reference or resale.

Tropical Climate Awareness

Southern Vietnam's heat and humidity create specific challenges for watch movements and seals. Our approach to gasket evaluation, lubrication selection, and storage recommendations accounts for these conditions — something that generic service protocols from temperate climates may not adequately address.

Parts Fabrication Capability

When original replacement parts are no longer available from the manufacturer, our complication specialist service includes the capability to fabricate select components. This is particularly valuable for vintage pieces where discontinued parts would otherwise render a watch unserviceable.

Long-Term Service History

We maintain records of every watch we service. Over time, this allows us to track your timepiece's performance trends, anticipate upcoming service needs, and provide context that improves the quality of each successive service interval.
